01 Acceptance of these terms
The CG Foundry website and services are operated by CG Foundry Corporation (“CG Foundry,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a corporation incorporated in the State of Delaware, United States. By accessing the site, creating an account, enrolling in a program, or making a purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
02 Who can use the services
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use our services and make purchases. By using the services, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.
03 Our services
CG Foundry provides online education and training in the field of computer graphics and lighting, including the Top 1% Lighting Artist Program — a live, cohort-based program delivered over a defined period — and may offer additional courses, tools, digital products, and community access. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to deliver programs as described, but specific session dates, content, instructors, and features may change.
04 Enrollment, pricing & payment
Prices for our programs and products are shown at the point of purchase and may change over time, though changes will not affect purchases you have already completed. Seats in our cohort-based program are limited, and your enrollment is confirmed once your payment has been received and accepted.
Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By making a purchase, you also agree to Stripe’s terms, and you authorize us and Stripe to charge your chosen payment method for the amount shown. You are responsible for providing accurate, current payment information.
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
05 Your account and access
When you enroll, we grant you access to the relevant program materials, live sessions, and community for the stated duration. Your access is personal to you and may not be shared, transferred, sold, or assigned to anyone else. You are responsible for keeping your login and access credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
06 Intellectual property
All content we provide — including videos, live-session recordings, slides, written materials, exercises, project files, software, and the methodologies, frameworks, and techniques we teach — is owned by CG Foundry or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the materials for your own learning. You may not:
- Record, copy, reproduce, download (except where we expressly enable it), distribute, publish, or publicly display our content;
- Share your access, logins, or any materials or recordings with anyone who is not an enrolled participant;
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize our content; or
- Use our content or methodology to create, operate, or assist a competing course, program, or training product.
To be clear, the skills, knowledge, and techniques you learn are yours to apply freely in your own creative and professional work. These restrictions concern our materials and content, not your use of what you have learned.
07 Community guidelines & acceptable use
If you join our community spaces, such as our Discord server, you agree to participate respectfully and constructively. You will not harass, threaten, or abuse others; post hateful, discriminatory, illegal, or sexually explicit content; share pirated or infringing materials; spam; or otherwise disrupt the community. More generally, you agree not to use our website or services to break the law, infringe anyone’s rights, attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with or disrupt the services, scrape or harvest data, or misrepresent your identity. We may remove content and suspend or revoke access for conduct that violates these Terms.
08 Your content
You retain ownership of the work, posts, questions, and feedback you submit through our services (“your content”). By submitting your content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and share it as needed to operate and deliver the services — for example, to provide feedback or facilitate discussion within the community. You are responsible for your content and represent that you have the rights to share it. We will always ask for your separate permission before using your name, likeness, or work in our marketing or promotional materials.
09 No guaranteed results
Our programs are educational. While we share production-proven techniques drawn from real AAA game-development experience, we do not promise or guarantee any specific outcome — including employment, job offers, freelance work, income, portfolio results, or career advancement. Your results depend on your own effort, ability, and individual circumstances. Any examples of student work or outcomes we share are illustrative and are not a guarantee that you will achieve the same results.
10 Third-party services
Our services rely on third-party providers, including Stripe, MailerLite, Discord, and our hosting infrastructure. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, content, or availability of these third parties. Our website may also contain links to third-party sites that we do not control; we provide them for convenience only and do not endorse or take responsibility for them.
11 Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our website and services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that any content is accurate or complete.
12 Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CG Foundry and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the services. In no event will our total liability for any claim exceed the amount you paid us for the product or service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months before the event that gave rise to the liability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CG Foundry and its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, your content, or your misuse of the services.
14 Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the services, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct we reasonably believe is harmful to us, our other participants, or our community. If we terminate your access for cause, you may lose access to program materials without a refund. You may stop using the services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.
15 Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. If you have a concern or dispute, we ask that you first contact us so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
16 Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will provide more prominent notice where appropriate. Your continued use of the services after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
17 General
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and CG Foundry regarding the services. If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in full effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
